iPhone busing
Ok, I'm not sure how to phrase this question because I don't own an iPhone. But I'm trying to figure out how long I can hold off before getting one.
I know iPhone has GPS capabilities, so it knows where you are. I know that Google Maps can tell you how to get from location to another using the Seattle bus system, including what buses to take, when they come, how long it takes, etc. Is there an iPhone app that takes these two things and puts them together? So that you can just put in a new address and the iPhone tells you when the next bus is from your current location to get you there. If so, does it incorporate real time bus information, or does it get the info from schedules (which I think Google maps does).

I wish there were. No such app exists yet.

Oh ok. Well I'll pay $10 to the person who writes it.
Think of all you could do with that vast wealth!

I think there is one...I read about it in Seattle magazine a few months ago. I just need to put my finger on the article and I will let you know what the company is called that wrote the app. It might not be for iPhone though but an internet app.

You could go with one of HTC's handsets that run WinMo. Thanks to the guys on xda-delevopers forums, they are probably the most "supported" phones around. The newer handsets have GPS and google maps is a quick (free) download. I have an older model, (Hermes 100 aka Cingular 8525) which uses doesn't have built in GPS, but uses cell towers to show location, and i use google maps on it. I haven't -needed- a GPS yet, but my phone's getting a little dated, so i'll probably go for the HTC Touch HD before too long.

Tracker Map Real-time transit vehicle locations
This requires Java script; not sure how well it works on phones.

Is this what you're looking for?
I have an iPhone 3G, and found this in the app store.
