I live at 6th and Pine and theres seagulls around all the time. Sometimes I wake up to see one on my window sill outside. Crazy.

Now that I think of it, I cant imagine a time when there were lots of poor classes in Seattle. Except maybe waaaaay back in the 1800s before the gold rush days.

Foolster41 is on a distinguished road
Looking at google maps, Alki looks like houses, when in my story it's an apartment over a shop. Maybe I'm reading the satalite view wrong.

So, asuming Alki is right, would a walk from Alki to First Hill be a stretch for a couple children to do in a couple hours? it looks mildly far for being in the same city. Also I'm not sure if there were bridges at the same places as there are now, since there's the duwamish waterway.

It looks to be about 45.7 miles (Actually, picked a location in Junction which is further east). Assuming 5 km/h speed that's 14.7 hours! I think that's way too long.
