If you've waited this long for fall admission, you're best bet is going to be one of the community colleges.

Well, I finished my applications everywhere else. I just did some serious thinking and realized my city of choice most likely wouldn't suit me long-term. But it's not like I'm screwed if I don't get to apply to these colleges.

It doesn't have to suit you long term, just for 4 years, right? And usually the quality of the school and campus life is more important than the city the school is in.

Thanks for all the information. It's been very helpful.

There is only one local community college that I know has dorms, which is Green River in the Lea Hill section of Auburn.

I would prefer to go to college somewhere I'd want to live for quite sometime. I wouldn't want to relocate after college and lose touch with the friends I make.

Friends may not stay in the same area forever... or even right after college. That is the case with my college friends and we still keep in touch and see each other.

Green River College is it far from Seattle? Is it easy to go back and forth from Seattle (city center)?
