I am a single mother of 3 & I am as we speak actively looking to relocate. I have been back to the PNW now since 1998. I simply can not afford to live here anymore. Now I am not asking for the world, but I would like for my children & myself to live comfortably.

I live in Renton, & the traffic just to get to southcenter is just horrible. I can't believe it. It shouldn't take me more than 15 minutes at the most to get there. PLEASE! It can take me about 30-45 mintues to get there now. Don't let it be raining. Forget it. You would think that with all of the rain that we have here people would know how to drive better. I guess not.

I've lived in my townhouse now for about a year. There are about 10 units, & I've only met one of my neighbors. If there weren't cars parked in front of their homes on occasion, I would think that the houses are empty. It's incredible. It shouldn't be called a neighborhood if you don't want to interact with your neighbors.

Let's not talk about the weather. I am moving. I wish the best to everyone that is doing the same.

Seattle's traffic is much worse than San Diego's! I am from Seattle ( moving back by the end of the summer), and I am living in San Diego right now. Whenever I'm in Seattle, the traffic is bad basically all day long, on every freeway. In San Diego, it's usually just bad during rush hour traffic ( working hours). My husband is a big rig truck driver, and he even said that Seattle's traffic is worst than San Diego's.

I'll second that, I lived in Orange county and drove to work in San Pedro, drove around San Diego as well as other parts of CA. In my opinion Seattle traffic is consistently worse than most parts of CA, mainly due to lack of options. If I-5 is blocked, you are basically screwed.

Even little ole Port Orchard ,where I live, is developing horrid traffic. They keep building more homes and yet the streets are the same size, during rush hour (used not to have a rush hour) you can barely turn against oncoming traffic as there are no gaps in the cars coming.

This area is so popular that it's popularity is killing the reason it's been so popular.......Ironic?

Tony
