You are right... I have to disagree. So far this summer we have already had 3 weeks of sunshine. And it is barely early July! Last year we had quite a long summer as well.

Granted when the skies are grey and it rains...it does so for weeks at a time sometimes. However...let's be fair. It rains far more in NY, the deep south and HI as well as other places. Maybe a fluke...but this is my second summer in Western WA and so far so good!!!!

Since I've lived here (almost 9 years), you can count on western Washington having at least 6 weeks of sunshine. Sometimes even bordering on drought. But for the past 2 summers, it's been more like 10-12 weeks of constant sunshine.

It may sound nice, but whenever we go for more than a week or so without rain, the air quality plummets. Smog becomes almost as bad as L.A.
