Default question for Seattle

On the education boards I was challenged to give examples of teacher/professor using their postion to push their liberal beliefs upon students. In researching examples I came across this one from 2005
School's stage was set for a stark lesson
Sound Politics: Vet strikes back

Is this an example of the people of Seattle? Has Seattle become North Berkeley?

Seattle is like many U.S. cities in that you can find both liberals and conservatives wherever you go. That said, Washington is a blue-state, along with its west coast counter-parts. While democrats are the majority, Seattle-ites are well known for their open-mindedness and tolerance for individual beliefs. The story is an extreme one, though it could just as easily have happened with a republican twist elsewhere - and would likely have been far less shocking.....

I have Seattle people to be very open minded and tolerant of others, as long as the others are very liberal democrats. Being a independent has been very difficult and I learn to just listen and know that open-mindedness lies elsewhere.
