Now that you brought up Renton..while I was researching house rental in Seattle, I came across a really decent size house for rent in Renton for a pretty good price.....I am now curious..what do you think of Renton? Worth considering or don't even bother.

Cheers,
Kellie

Don't even bother.

Think drugs, property crime, gangs...

One of them is at Honey Brook Community, and there is another one but it doesn't mention what community but the zip code is 98055.

Thanks!

Ok, Honeybrook, from my recollection, is up near the vo-tech in the Renton Highlands.

Yup, "Don't Even Bother."

*laughs*

Not a good area if so. Stay out of the Renton Highlands area if possible. As others have said, bad school district, crime, drugs, gangs, etc. Again, there are pockets of areas that are not too bad but the area right around the vo-tech particularly is not good, IMO.

98055 is a general Renton zip so not much help.

I second the motion to "not even bother" when it comes to Renton.

Thanks again! I won't bother about Renton then.

I know that Lake Washington School district is good, so is Issaquah, right? How does Bellevue School District rate?

With high housing cost around that, how does one eventually own a house in those areas? That's something that I am trying to accept - the fact that we may never own a home with the move the Seattle. I can't imagine the mortgage payment and the downpayment on a home that cost $500k and up!

Thanks again!

Kellie
