2.46 here, down from 2.53 a couple of days ago.
Lowest I saw was 1.98 at the end of Feb.
California's prices has a little to do with the CA specific additives to meet their environmental goals.

I know, but besides the SAD and the crowding that ran me out of the state, I chose to retire to a place less expensive.
I'm just rubbing it in.

2.79 for 93 octane here in Jersey. I think anywhere is cheaper then Cali. Are there emission laws there? (Washington) Do you need cat. converters?

Washington code allows vehicles to remain "factory". If it was not original equipment, you don't have to retrofit.
I won a battle regarding my '52 Chevy 5 Window's lack of turn signals over that one.
I'm assuming your nick means you have a '41 Willys.
Bringing a vehicle into WA requires an inspection by the State Patrol before WA will register it.
If your Willys is stock no problem, but if you've dropped in a 350 Chev or a 302 Ford, I don't know how they'll take it.
The inspection is concerned with VIN numbers. Smog checks are required , but there is a limit on how much you can be required to spend to get an out of compliance vehicle back into spec.
