I don't like the weather, it's a bit too wet for my liking.

i think we would love it. i love love love cloudy, grey skies. i don't love the really bitter cold, but i'd love to live somewhere where we get a bit of winter. and seasons! and the beauty alone will make up for the cold, as far as i'm concerned.
as far as moving to cali....NO THANKS! i'm not a cali girl. i've visited plenty of times to know that it's not a place for me. i don't mean to offend any cali residents out there. the weather there is great, but it's way too congested and plastic for my taste. hubby and i are democrats, we are big into the enviroment and doing our part, we are mellow, and we love the seattle weather. so, the pacific nw seems to be the area we are really focusing on. the only other place we'd like to live is north carolina b/c it's close to much of our family in nc, ohio and florida.

I think you will love it..The sun comes in and out during the day at times too..So, it is not like you just won't never see the sun..."Sun breaks" as they call them....and to top it off, it is not that cold there at all...it is moderate, mild ...and it is to me, the most beautiful city in the country..you get to see the seasons change..Fall is my favorite..oh man, so beautiful....Mt Rainier is my mountain, the cascades period.. oh she is so pretty..if you want beauty, Seattle is it..I even went down to St Mt Helens...

Oh, you get winter in Seattle..last year was not the normal as they say with the snow..See, I personally don't like a lot of snow..and Seattle was perfect for me...But, I did pray for a white christmas last year and got it..LOL!!!......that is not the norm though, all the snow..But, it gets cold...The average is like 30's-40's in the winter....and it goes up and down depending on the day.

I loved the way the weather changes so much..so unpredictable, yet predictable...I even liked a few of those foggy days..wow, I had not seen fog like that till I went to Seattle...

I got a feeling it is the place for you..

And u must go to Seward Park and the trail around the Lake..Fall is even prettier time, but anytime ..I bet you will fall in love with Seattle for sure then..

fall is my favorite time of year! you have just solidified in my mind that seattle is the place for us. my hubby is an avid hiker/mountain biker and has no problems riding/hiking in very hot weather, or raining and misty weather as well. nothing stops him when he's in the mood to get outdoors (which is almost always).

Oh, another thing..Seattle is 'hilly'...lots of rolling hills..but I also think that is what makes it Seattle too. But, there are lots of bikers and places to bike....and not every road is 'hilly'..I don't want to scare you...But, it is up there with San Francisco with the hills, but San Fran has more as far as I have hear..I think that is what makes it unique as well... You should visit for sure....I think you will like it..I have only been gone a week from Seattle and I am going insane in this intense heat and plain jane Florida..lol! Dont' come to Florida, totally HOT and you will be miserable a lot...wishing for Seattle year round moderate and cool temps.....Hopefully, I will be back sometime in the middle of the summer........which btw are cool too...compared to the rest of the country..

Actually this thread has been around for a few weeks. I found some cool video of lightning hitting the Space Needle, and posted it here as this was the most recent thread on Seattle weather. I agree, there are too many threads on Seattle weather, but thought this vid was interesting.

The video was pretty cool, and its kind of nice to have a lightning storm since we don't get too many of those. Even better, the system only stuck around for a couple of days before the sun came back, and its looking like we are getting summer-esque weather at least through the rest of May.
