I live in Earlington, a neighborhood part of which is in Renton, and part of which is in unincorporated King County. It's down the hill from Skyway, but isn't Skyway or Renton.

I grew up in the wedgewood area, just north of the U-district, and sandwiched between Lake City and the Roosevelt district. Very interesting post-war development area with many homes built between 1947 and 1960. As I understand it, one developer, last name "Block", can't remember his first name, was the major developer here. Today, the area is a mish-mash of middle-income homes, some a little higher end, but still a desirable middle income neighborhood. This is an important part of Seattle's development, as many areas north of 65th street were still undeveloped at the end of WWII. Still considered "good" parts of Seattle.
