Default Driving in Seattle? Thoughts on Southcenter in Tukwila?

So does Seattle have mostly highways or main roads? (Meaning, does it have driving like New Jersey and Texas where the main roads are 70 mph and there's a median, or is it like Ohio where the main roads are 35 mph with no median)?

Also, Southcenter in Tukwila - thoughts? (What is it like)

I'm not sure I totally understand your question, but there are 4-5 main roads in the Seattle metro, I-5, and I-405, both north-south. East-west would be I-90 and State Highway 520. Speed limit is 60 inside the metro. Highway 99 is also a major highway north-south, with lots of discussion about how to modernize it. Medians? Yes.

Southcenter is a major retail area. There are residential apartments nearby, but mostly this is a heavy retail area.

Future plans are to make Renton/Southcenter a more residential "edge city" type of area. Not sure if much progress has been made in this area.
