What are some of the well known NEVER-MISS festivals that happen around Seattle? I googled it and there was a huge list, so I was wondering what people's opinion are on some of their favorite festivals. Wether it be music, art, food. I would love to go to a Food festivals! so any you can recommend? and around what time of the year do they happen?

I second the Bite of Seattle. It's awesome.

Also, if you want to take a nice day trip out of Seattle in July, I highly recommend the Sequim Lavender Festival. It's held this year on the third weekend in July. Even if you're not into lavender, the scenery is beautiful, you can usually see Mt. Baker, and the ferry ride over to Bainbridge (if you decide to go that route) is always a nice summer experience.

That's true. Thank you for the correction.

Further note: Since downtown is going to be very busy, Sound Transit will be running extra Link light rail trains to handle crowding around the stadium station and Sounder commuter trains will be running from Tacoma and Everett as well.
