Default Relocating from midwest for job in Redmond - Need advice!

Hello all!

I am looking for some decent areas/apartment complexes to live... Moral of the story is I would like to avoid a severely long commute to Redmond ; looking for a 1 bedroom of at least 800 sq.ft. in a decent area (I'm a single female and I tend to run on my own quite a bit). I would like to stick around the $1000-$1200 range. The only complex I have looked into was Cedar Terrace in Bellevue and have subsequently read a TON of bad reviews (taken with a grain of salt but still makes me a tad nervous). Any help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

I have a friend who just moved to an apartment complex in Kirkland, WA which is just west of Redmond. She's staying at the Watermark Apartments and so far I haven't heard anything negative. Not sure about the prices but the area is nice and convenient.

You can live right across the street from your job if you'd like. There's a buttload of apartment complexes right in the Microsoft area, as well as million other complexes in Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland within your price range.

Ditto seattleyear. If you like to run, you can locate very near the Sammamish River Trail. You can probably find a map with it drawn in, so you can compare it to apartment complexes, but let us know if you have any questions about it.

It's a paved, very very long running/biking/skating/walking trail that runs (surprise) along the Sammamish River. Plenty of apartments on it in Redmond!
