Default Western Washington poised for extremely dry summer

SEATTLE -- University of Washington scientists say Western Washington appears poised for an extremely dry summer.

Seattlepi.com: Western Washington poised for extremely dry summer

Anybody interested in our normal summer weather here in Seattle may find this blog post interesting as well.

Cliff Mass Weather Blog: Dry Sky Parties

The blog post talks about just how dry it can be here in the summer, and how the lowlands of the Northwest are some of the driest areas of the entire country in the summer...drier than even the desert Southwest in the summer.

Personally I'm not too thrilled about it being so dry here in the summer...however I'd never trade it for any other place in the country!

As someone who owns a bit of land down in the monsoonal area of the SW (SE Arizona) I can attest to the fact that it rains MUCH more down on our land during July/August than it does here in Seattle that time (NO comparison at all). Most folks who live in Arizona LOVE the summer monsoon season - and I have to admit to that sentiment myself. Looking forward to moving down there one of these days.

See I move away and then it's a wonderful spring and summer - figures

Last summer was AWFUL, I had anxiety all the time

BTW It's been one of the wettest Springs here - our local lakes are nearly filled...
