Jones Soda issues "going concern" statement

By Melissa Allison

Jones Soda's financial predicament raises "substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern," the Seattle-based company said in a securities filing today.

The small soda maker said that it has revised sales projections twice this year, most recently after disappointing sales during the first part of the historically strong April to September period.

It has enough cash — $7.1 million — to continue operating without additional funding if sales meet its new projections, it said.

According to google maps, it's 2,962 miles which will take 1 day 19 hours by car (this seems generous).

5 hours flying.

My hubby did it in about 4 days (to Raleigh). He spent one afternoon at his mom's house though, just to break up the driving a little.

Default Spokane is Stupid

I really wanted to show my out of town girlfriend Spokane in the fall (the colors are great!) but I think I'd rather take her to San Francisco instead.

Here's why!

Train: 8-10 hours (leaves/arrives at ridiculous times)
Greyhound: 8-10 hours
Plane: $250 for the two of us

We live downtown Seattle and don't drive, so places that require cars and aren't served by modern transit are kinda out of the question.

I don't see why Spokane has to be so remote! If they were smart, they would court Seattlites to visit their city, but they make it the most cumbersome task ever.

They can enjoy being Spokanistan. Forever. I will take my tourist $'s elsewhere!

So how is San Francisco less remote? ... I'm guessing

Train - over 20 hours
Bus - over 20 hours
Plane $500 for the both of you
