Default Best suburb area of Seattle metro

What's your favorite "part" of Seattle metro area (not including the actual city?

North side (Lynnwood, Shoreline, Edmonds, Mill Creek, etc)

East side (Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, Mercer Island, etc)

South side (Federal Way, Kent, Auburn, etc)

Me? I've lived in all three, and I hate the South side. ANd you???

My favorite northern Seattle suburb is Edmonds, especially downtown Edmonds.
Eastside: I have a thing for Issaquah because unlike much of the eastside, it's an actual old town.
But Kirkland and Bellevue have their pluses. And Mercer Island is wonderful but expensive.
southern suburbs: Renton ! and Old Burien...parts of downtown Kent are actually pretty charming too. I've never spent enough time in Auburn to give me fair opinion, but some of it's pretty run down, though they do have a great Italian restaurant..
The south end is more economically diverse. Poorer people and poorer neighborhoods exist there, where if you live in a place like Medina you can pretend that poor people don't exist. But the south end towns also have middle class and wealthier people as well. The south end towns also have a lot of ethnic diversity. Eastside folks will say they have ethnic diversity too, and they do, but it's different. Bellevue and Redmond may have Indian software folks, but Kent has Indian truck drivers.

I currently live in Lynnwood and I think it's the best one. Either Lynnwood or Edmonds. Lynnwood has everything in it

1. Alderwood Mall
2. I-5 and I-405
3. Wal-Mart
4. Meadowdale Beach
5. Fred Meyers, QFC, Safeway, Costco etc.
6. Martha Lake
7. A nice recreation center
8. Nice houses (Edmonds has better houses though)

So ya Lynnwood has almost everything kind of crammed into it

I always have a special place in my heart for Lynnwood/Edmonds because that was my first home.

Bainbridge Island. Great schools, wonderful library, pleasant commute to down town, choice of forest/maritime/rural/suburban neighborhoods. Oh, and not many opportunities to spend money on stuff the kids really don't need.

Surprised the Bellvueites aren't here in force attacking you for calling Bellevue a "suburb".
