Visiting Seattle: Car Rental
Hi all,
I will be visiting Seattle the first week of September from Australia (via Hong Kong). I will be staying at the Seattle Sheraton. I am interested in renting a Ford Mustang just for a day to take for a spin. These cars are rare and super-expensive in Australia (about $120k USD).
Can anyone recommend a rental place walking distance from the Sheraton to grab one for a day? I had a look at Budget, Hertz etc but you cant specifically reserve a Mustang. So was planning on just turning up.
Was going to use it to drive out to the Flight Museum and some Outlet Mall my wife found on the net.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Kind of looks like a spam website though.

Are you sure you can't specifically reserve from the " Fun Collection" at Hertz? You could get to the airport rental location from downtown reasonably easy, taking the bus.

Hi Michaelin,
Yeah, just noticed that. Got bad info from the first person I spoke to at hertz. And I noticed there is a rental place right around the corner. Thanks for the advice.

Cool. For anyone else, this link might work better than the one I left earlier.
Hertz Fun Collection

I just booked a car for 8 days in Seattle in mid-October. The best deal I could get for my dates at the airport was $577 for a compact. I was able to book a Hertz car in the DOWNTOWN area for $300. That is not the first time that I have experienced that large a difference in Seattle.
I would recommend renting at a Hertz Local Edition location.

It is almost always cheaper to rent from a city location than from the airport. Washington/Seattle has very high taxes/fees, too.
