Are there any good group homes for the Mentally Ill that you could recommend. My daughter is 33 and living in Chattanoonga group home, and I would like her to be able to move closer to me.

There are many group homes but they don't advertise, because they are often full and have waiting lists. We found one for an elderly family member by hiring a nurse social worker through a list obtained from a local hospital. She charged $250 at the time to locate 3-4 family homes that we could visit and select from, and did a lot of preliminary work evaluating the patient, and their wants and needs to ensure a good fit. I would suggest contacting the Behavioral Health Services and/or Home Care Services departments at several local hospitals such as Swedish in Seattle, Evergreen in Kirkland, Overlake in Bellevue.
