Default Property Taxes for Bellevue & Issaquah school districts

Are the property taxes (for comparable properties) higher in Issaquah school district compared to Bellevue school districts (for example: $4700 vs $7300 for a $650K house)? Or are there other factors that come in to play? TIA.

Issaquah School District encompasses both the communities of Issaquah and Sammamish so you would need to do your comparison on those city websites. There are also obviously multiple components of the property tax rate divided between State, School, County, City. There is also a tax for Port, Library, EMS, Ferry and Flood Control. Our rate for our house in Sammamish in total for all is $9.85 per $1000 of assessed value. Sorry I couldn't answer question directly because I don't know the answer! But I can tell you your money goes further in Sammamish/Issaquah than Bellevue for the kind of house you get for $650K.

They are usually just a little over 1% of the assessed value.

Besides Issaquah and Sammamish, the ISD also covers most of Newcastle, a large portion of Renton, and some unincorporated areas.

It might be better to ask your property tax comparison question by city or location, rather than school district.

It does get confusing. Some of Renton is in the Issaquah school district. Some of Bellevue is in the Renton school district. Newcastle is the Renton and Issaquah school districts. Some of Renton is in the Kent school district.
