Maybe I am not a Northwest native... I am always a little embarrassed by the PEMCO ads. Anyone else in the same boat or you all love it?

As a Northwest native I am quite fond of those Pemco ads and after having lived in many states and countries I have always returned home to the Seattle area.

There are very few places that I would rather be...

I like the Pemco ads. We saw them when we first moved here in January last year and thought they were funny. Very quickly learned that they look to be pretty-spot on. It was fun to be adjusting to the area and say, Oh look, it's the walla-walla-wine-wine lady, or, HEY! It's Fifty-degrees-shirts-off-guy!!

In this country it would be the area that includes extreme northeastern Washington, northern Idaho and northwestern Montana.

In Europe it would be the Trentino-Alto region of Italy.

The Pemco ads are pretty funny.

But yeah, I don't mind a healthy discussion, or even a little rhetorical, or a little light ribbing, but I just don't want the outright down and dirty negatives you get in some threads. That is a little ridiculous some times. I wanted to keep a light, positive attitude. We all know what I am talking about.

I am down in Portland this week for training, but I miss Seattle. I know the weather down here is the same as there in Seattle, but it doesn't have the same greenness, and lushness, of Seattle. I also miss the sound, and all the water.

I love Seattle, as that's where my comfortable bed, and nice shower, and all that jazz.

One of the Pemco ads with the four-stop intersection is a total rip-off of a bit in the movie "L.A. Story", with Steve Martin. Not that it wasn't funny, but perhaps an indication that perceptions about Seatle and most west-coast locales are not that different!

I love everything about Seattle. It is one of the most amazing places in the United States. The green, the clouds, the fresh air. I can not wait to get the hell out of So Cal and move to Seattle
