This is the way I see it. For being a major city, Seattle got a late start on its transit. With that said, I see Seattle progressing more in mass transit than I could see with other cities. Things are getting done. more routes. Judging from what I see in metro Atlanta, Sound Transit is doing more in less time that MARTA is, being around since the 1970's. So many people where I live are so resistant to MARTA expansion. The last vote to expand MARTA was struck down, in 2008. The Puget Sound area still has alot of work to do, but I see that things are getting done too. My hope is for a heavy rail. Light rail is good. Heavy rail would be even better.

The Sounder Trains are considered heavy rail, running from downtown to Tukwila, Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, Sumner, and Tacoma, and from downtown to Edmonds, Mukilteo, and Everett. They don't run very many of them per day, but they're cool.

Do you think Sound Transit can run more of them and for longer? I was thinking from 5AM to 1AM Monday to Saturday and 5AM to 12AM on Sunday.
On the other hand, Sound Transit is doing more than some places.
