You asked for an apples to apples comparison. A median home price website does not compare apples to apples.

The median means that there are equal number of homes sold above that number and below that number.
It's not the "average" house, and the mix of houses is always changing, but I do know that home prices in SD have fallen a lot further than houses Seattle, possibly because they started dropping first.

Sad Diego home prices feel further sure. They were a ton higher.
