Just to add after much research, New Horizon has a sizable population of kids with at least mild cognitive delays and was tiny.

Morningside is not for kids with any behavioral issues or lack of motivation (not sure how they serve ADHD kids if that is so). I was impressed by their program, but my son is only in 3rd and not yet motivated enough for a place like that.

On the other hand, his behavior issues are nowhere near most kids in the behavior-centered schools.

Default Bal-A-Vis-X Training

I have worked with children diagnosed with ADHD and have found the Bal-A-Vis-X approach to be incredible in opening channels for the child to work with greater concentration and precision. The balance board used in this process made a radical difference. The children who are on the balance board while doing intellectual activities are able to stay focused for longer periods of time. Writing became neater / legible and horizontal across the page. I highly recommend this training to parents and educators alike. The next training is in Seattle on Sept. 9-11. wholehand.org
