That was my point. And thanks for telling me what I already knew. Apparently I need to explain this to you. My reference to Geoduck was specific to its appearance, not its classification.

Don't let the obvious get in the way of the obvious.

Yes, I've been to Gary, IN (Michael Jackson's home town). I used to live in (or should I say I was stuck in) Michigan City, IN so I wasn't too far. But believe me, if you think Gary, IN is bad, you should go to East St. Louis, IL. Better quality of people, but in much worse shape. I've seen a tree growing out the top of a fairly tall abandoned building there and an old High School that looks like it came out of a war movie/video game.

Michael Jackson's father wanted his family out of that town. I have seen pictures of Gary. Seattle get overcast. So what? Seattle isn't Gary. Gary does look more depressing(as well East St. Louis) than Seattle.

Lot of people think it rains all the time here in Seattle, even in the summer! I told them no, not all the time. It's one of the most cloudy city in the US, not for rain. ha

Misconception: It rains a lot.

Nope... The amount of rain is actually not extreme. It's just that it's cloudy a lot and misty, but it doesn't usually rain very hard, from what I can remember. The clouds keep it warmer in the winter. In the summer there is very little rain. Compare your city to Seattle with the precipitation charts shown on this site (not in the forums).

We lived there for 7 years and are thinking of moving back. We've been away for 5 years. I hope my hubby can get a job soon. He is very frustrated here.

The rain keeps everything green, keeps the rivers flowing and keeps stuff really clean. That's probably why people think this city's so clean. We dont get that fine film of dust and pollution on everything. It just washes off into the Sound! haha

I imagine the Asian food and seafood scene is very good in Seattle. What other ethnic/cultural foods have a large presence in the Seattle area?

Also, on a completely different topic, how's the fishing in the Seattle area?
