What is the safest and best place to live south of seattle, but that I can get to downtown within 30 minutes or less with no traffic. I have heard that south of the city is not that great, but there has to be some areas that are good.

West Seattle is south of the city and has a lot of very nice areas. Admiral is beautiful, Alki has the great beach and there are a lot of hidden gem communities all throughout West Seattle, continuing down toward Burien.

My EXPRESS bus got me downtown 3rd/James in 20 minutes from Admiral.

"No traffic"...yeah, right.
