Opinions/Discussion on the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Are the ppl in this neighborhood in general younger or older?

Neither older nor younger. Just gayer.

That's a joke...sorta. ;-)

I am bi but I think living in a neighborhood that defined itself as being gay might get tiresome.

Let's get this straight; Capitol Hill is the center of Seattle's gay community but it is far from PREDOMINANTLY gay.

Thanks for the info. I am seriously considering moving to the Pacific Northwest after college, but don't live there yet. I asked the question because I was looking thru the dif. neighborhoods of Seattle on wikipedia and found that this was the only gay one listed.

I have also noticed that there aren't any Sunbelt (Dallas, Phoenix, ect.) style suburbs anywhere in the Seattle metro. Grid layout, large parking lots, lots of new houses, ect.

To answer the question posed in your opening post, here is Zillow's age distribution estimates for Capitol Hill as of the end of 2009.

Thanks alot. Although, I am not really sure what the average breakdown would be in other places in the United States to compare it against.

Well, Zillow is only one source you can use. In their demographics section, you can look up any neighborhood, town, city, or state demographic data including age. The U.S. Census Bureau site will also give you an age breakdown of any city or state.

For comparison, here is Seattle (in general) and Bellevue (an upper middle class suburb).

Like I say, you can go to their website and see comparison data for anywhere in the country.
