I am a canadian looking at the Eastside area for a possible position at Microsoft(Main Campus). I am a little concerned about traffic. We currently have a 2 acre lot in Canada and so we would like something a little more rural. Our budget is OK 500-800k. From doing various searches I'm looking at either Duvall or Woodinville.(Redmond a bit too close together) We would prefer the commute to be at the most 30-35 minutes. Have I missed any neighborhood? Which area would everyone recommend?

I'd say, in addition to Duvall and Woodinville, you might also look at Carnation, Fall City, and Issaquah. They might be at the upper end of the 30-35 minute commute, but they've all got some rural charm.
