Does anyone have any pics from the area? I searched the pic thread on here and came up empty. I suppose I can always google, but sometimes those are not even of the area you are looking for.
Look up our best photographer-poster: pwright1. He captures the very best of Seattle!

Here's one thread: Life in Seattle

It isn't as high resolution as places like Pike Place Market (click here), but one way to view the city is with Google's street view:

Bothell, WA - Google Maps

I checked out google streetview and while it worked, I became frustrated with it since I'm not familiar with the area and didn't really know where I was navigating myself to. Any other suggestions? Or does anyone have their own pics? The ones I viewed of Seattle were beautiful!

One thing about Bothell DT is that its not very big. Still a bit quaint. You're not really going to catch that well on the google street-view. Its looks big on the map, but really it isn't.

If you google the images of Burke-Gilman trail which a trail that'll take you to DT Seattle, you'll notice its very forest-ty, lots of trees... and it's just very calm. That's how you can describe Bothell. Also google (image) Bothell Country Village which is a couple miles north of DT Bothell-- that is a great and quirky place. Every Father's day, they have this classic car show and it's awesome to check out. Check out google images of Blythe Park (West Riverside Dr) or Bothell Landing Park. Ultimately Bothell is a suburban oasis away from Seattle.

You can also look into Kenmore and Canyon Park as a possible places to live, they're right around Bothell and a bit more busy than Bothell with more shopping options.

Right now Seattle Pi have their photo links up titled MySeattlePix which shows life in Seattle: MySeattlePix - Best photos for May 2010 (http://blog.seattlepi.com/myseattlepix/picks.asp?ID=192&page=1 - broken link) (People like to upload their photos to this blog. If you look to the right, there's 3 "recent upload" pictures, click on that and you'll see many more.)

Thanks so much Inkpoe. I'll have to check out those locations you told me about as well as Kenmore and Canyon Park. It's always good to know these sort of things when your looking at a potential place to live; and right now, any place my husband and I apply are candidates! I don't have to post things like this in the Ohio forum since we live here and know the state well.

I don't know how long the application process takes in Washington. I would assume schools don't want to wait too long to hire, but I'm not sure how the system works up in the PacNW. I'm a bit impatient...you could call it a flaw I guess.

Looks like I'm going to have to just wait and see what happens! I do appreciate all the information though. It's been very helpful.
