Ice Ages and Global Glaciation are myths just as is Global Warming. Through the recorded history of man, there has been no such thing. The Sun has fluctuations in the amount of radiation it puts out and this does cause some degree of warming and cooling, but that's it. There are far bigger threats to us than an Ice Age.

And what percent of the earth's history has man occupied? To say that there cannot be an ice age (or an "up cycle" for that matter) is ignoring about 99.9% of the earth's climate history. You're falling into the same trap that the global warming folks fall into. You ignore the historical data and assume that a static climate is the norm. It's not.

What you're doing (and the global warming crowd is doing) would be like me looking out my window at 11:00 am, and then looking at the thermometer that reads 45 degrees, and then saying, "the temperature hasn't varied from 45 degrees within the last 5 seconds, therefore the temperature should not vary from 45 degrees over the next year." Problem is... they WILL. Just like they always have.

The Little Ice Age had documented glaciation. And, there is certainly plenty of proof for the Ordovician glaciation. But, I am not worried about cooling or warming cycles, they are perfectly normal variations and I agree that are all driven by solar activity.

since all the global warming crowd likes to blame mankind for the problem of global warming. why not take all the data over since the dawn of man began.

also get this, when the planet does get hit with a ice age, there will be billions of people screaming for more global warming, at least what is left of the human race.

Default A little history

One of my ancestors migrated to Fort Nashboro (Nashville), Tennessee. In her journal, she described putting sled runners on their wagon to cross rivers in that area.

I think the only thing we can predict with any certainty is that the weather is changeable. I don't think the human presence on this planet can have any major change on the whole planet, just a local change at most.

I try to prepare for local disasters, which of couse, also prepares for national disasters. Six months of supplies doesn't take up much room. I feel more secure for having these supplies and sleep better at night!
