We dare not call it conspiracy; but it seems that they have thrown what were once considered unsavory morsels to the masses in order to take away anything of substance.

For example, treating an individual purchasing a gun as a criminal suspect but treating bastardy (with the resulting damage to family structure and and children) as simply a lifestyle choice. Once upon a time a lifestyle choice meant choosing between two neighborhoods.

I think most will stay put and fight it out amongst themselves because the vast majority of Americans are clueless about US geography.

I have relatives in several areas nearby but none heard of any such reports. Had it been longer before the cavalry arrived, possibly. However, I think most people were clueless as to which direction to go even if such thoughts entered their heads.

get it thru your head, shtf will be like nothing ever before seen. We have NEVER had a disaster like this will be. The closest thing to it was the collapse of Rome, (for Europe);. shtf will be worldwide cannibalism, within a few months. Nothing working, no currency worth anything except as toilet paper. when all you have to do is move a few score or a few hundred miles, its not shtf. It's a minor, local burp in life, and that is all. You need very little prep for that, just some gold coins, water filter and other camping supplies, and a pistol.

u r wrong about most not knowing where to go, everyone knows somebody who hunts or has contacts in the farming-ranching community.
