I wonder if they are taking radiation readings in the Sea of Japan and how far this radiation has extended at powerful levels. I read earlier this week that tsunami debris from Fukashima has washed up on Alaskan shores.

BTW I consider Fukashima far worse then Chernobyl and we all know how Chernobyl is turning out.

It's hard to say because they were both covered up to an extreme, but I'm guessing Chernobyl Chernobyl disaster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia was worse (unless Fukus destabilizes again). The reason I say that is because over the years, there were something like a million excess cancer cases throughout Russia and Europe, and a few hundred thousand deaths - all that covered up except as noted by a few statisticians and activists such as Helen Caldicott Helen Caldicott - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Even today, some sheep in Scotland have to be tested for isotopes from the disaster. Wild boars killed by hunters in Germany have to be tested for radioactivity before eaten, and most of them are hot because of eating fungus that concentrate cesium.

Multiple 6.0 earthquakes this week in Japan and a possible bulging wall do not bode well in regard to the future safety of this nuclear reactor site.

It was encased in concrete, after the accident, and well after a great deal of radiation was released into the atmosphere. This prevented some additional leakage, but they still closed the barn doors after the horses had escaped. The encasing was made quickly, with a great deal of improvisation. I doubt it is was as effective as a pre-existing containment building would have been.

Yeah, some have been taken. Think Green Peace did some also.

I just read this article this morning.
Fukushima radiation seen in tuna off California
When Fukushima first happened, I remember talking about Chernobyl. I was dumbfounded at people who didn't know about Chernobyl. Speechless.

We now have radioactive bluefin tuna off California. The volume of trash headed for our shores is immense. It will be on every beach from Alaska to Panama. Then the current goes west before it gets to Peru. There may well be human remains in the wreckage of floating buildings.
The precipitating event of the Fukushima disaster was an earthquake. However, the cause of the radiation leak and meltdowns was that all the Diesel pumps available for emergency cooling were in the CELLARS! Submerged Diesels do no good at all, but the Japanese engineers wanted backup systems hidden and the best place to hide something is in the cellar. That is why we have radioactive tuna on our West Coast, not the earthquake. The reactors could have been cooled and had no escapes of radioactivity. If the Diesel pumps had been above sea level they could have prevented any radioactive release. They could have flown in additional Diesel fuel before it ran out. In defense of Japanese engineers, they knew all this, but they were overruled by corporate policy wonks.

Yeah, I read about the tuna. I suspect it is similar if not for every fish, for every fish which carries a high fat content. I wonder if there are any plans to look for radiation in Alaskan salmon swimming upstream? Maybe this would put a stop to whaling in the Pacific?

Ironically enough, the Japanese eat by far the largest percentage of bluefin tuna catches.

If you are 70 years old you don't need to worry much about what you eat. The greatest danger is among children and adults in their child bearing years. The week after Fukushima I bought cases of tuna at Sam's Club. Canned tuna keeps for a really long time.
