Question What Are You Doing For Xmas 2012?

As there are many who believe December 21, 2012 will be our last day or that the earth will endure catastrophes that effect everyone I was wondering what Christmas plans they have.

Are you going to celebrate Christmas early? What is your plans for your children and how will you explain it to them?

Same thing we usually do - nice ham from the local pig farm, nice turkey from the pasture, pumpkin pies, devilled eggs, snooze and watch football. Give the carolers some hot apple cider and cookies. Mail fruitcakes and some of this year's butchered steer to family.

My children - all adults - find the whole "2012" thing either an annoying nuisance or ridiculously funny, depending on the 'panic level mode' of the perpetrator, as do we.

We will live our lives like we do right now and if the world ends on December 21, 2012 I guess we won't care that we wasted a wee bit of money on gifts for the grandchildren.

Getting drunk?

There are some who believe the world will end tomorrow. Until I see proof of said "prophet's" ability to see the future, I won't really worry too much about it. I don't really discount the possibility that the world will "end" on any given day. But, I don't fret over it either. I don't believe events like that play by a script, Mayan or otherwise.

I'll be spending it celebrating my retirement! Yup, this is the last year of toil-for-money for us. DW will hang up her cleats by Sept 30th (end of fiscal year where she works) while I'll slow down after Thanksgiving and be totally finished by Christmas. Really looking forward to this!

It's just a new beginning for us!

My faith says no one knows when the world will end so I'm going with that. Business as usual.

I want to have an end of the world party the night before and then a Bloody Mary party the next morning!

Currently I am working on my yoga so in case I am just too immature for all of this, I will be able to bend over and KISS MY A** Goodbye!

But I do believe in science and the earth is experiencing great stresses so two months a go I bought earthquake insurance and I live in nj.
