I got thrown off HT years ago. lol
A former mod and myself found out some bad stuff was being hosted on the server. Won't go into more detail than that, public or private.
Here's a couple I'm on now and then, though they tend to be a bit slow going:

I was a member of homesteading today for many years, but I left because a few of the mods started picking and choosing who and what could be posted to extreme levels. Oh, unless you were a buddy.....
I do realize this is the job of a moderator to a certain extent. But not what they were pulling.

They still do on GC and the Survival and Prep forum.

I completely agree.
Though as mentioned, GC isn't good for the soul anyway. And you have to be a little crazy to post in S&P... Or at least can't tell anyone else that their crazy is showing! lol
And I don't just mean survival/conspiracy theory type crazy. I mean call-to-arms, take-down-the-government type crazy!

Yes, on Homesteading Today and other such forums, you do find one or two sub-forums where folks tend to get a little... umm... extreme. Best just to back up slowly and leave the area without drawing any attention to yourself LOL

Another entire board was started by people who disagreed with the powers that be in GC and S&P and were banned. Totally irreverent and no holds barred.

Has anyone here ever heard of survivaltopics.com?
It used to have a huge active forum, I just recently checked it out after not going on in about a year and couldn't find it?

One where people can post in peaceful coexistence without being put down. I am right there with you, Chris.

Generally in forums of a limited scope, after about three years you'll find very little new information.

I dropped out a long time ago because they cannot handle dissenting opinions on anything. There is no free speech there and I got tired of butting heads with people because I sometimes have a different point of view.
