Who knows, but I will be treating Thursday like any other day. Im tired of people predicting when the world is going to end. No one knows not even the ancients knew.

Kino's Journey (English Dub) Episode 3 Part 2 - YouTube

(Sorry, couldn't find the episode before that one.. it helps explain the context.)

I'm planning on staying at home as much as possible. I think that people are going to act stupid and I'd rather not have to deal with insanity. Maybe ill come out the 22nd or 23rd.

Correcting myself. The exact time is supposed to be 6:11 a.m. eastern time. So it will 5:11 a.m. my time. I'd rather be on the west coast and have it happen at 3:11 a.m. If anything is going to happen I want to be asleep and I'd for sure be asleep at 3:11 a.m.!

It looks like it will be warm on December 21st. I'd better get out my bikini and put away the sweaters!

Great graphics guys!! LOL - thanks.
I didn't go all the way to the beginning, so forgive me if I'm repeating...
The Mayans did not say "the end of the world," a few religious groups cobbled it together with the armageddon deal. They just said "the end of the world as we know it." An equivalent of the word "institutions" was also used if memory serves - as in "large institutions (and things we take for granted) will change." Just change, that's all. New. Different.

In fact, though, as others did point out, when the western world went through all the changes from the Julian (Julius Caesar) to the (Pope Gregory) Gregorian calendar, time was lost, time was gained, time was moved sideways...so perhaps we are already in the first throes of the end of whatever it was that was ending, or it has already passed and we were looking at the horizon and missed it, or it is actually only happening in a parallel universe and we are just seeing the reflection of the insanity in the solar flares acting as -- what were those things in "Escape from LA? -- oh yeah, holograms.

It's fun to look at the whole time and date thing... Of course the Chinese think we are nuts ... they are in year 5 bejillion already and here we are acting like it's only 2012. Here's an interesting timeline: Timeline Of Interesting Calendar Facts | Calendars

I think on the appointed time all 1.5 million of us on CD forum should hold hands and sing kumbaya, and then break into a chorus of this:

Chicago - Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? - YouTube

Then we should open a bottle of our favorite adult beverages and toast the beginning of the NEW mayan calendar! Cheers!

Oh yeah, and don't forget to bring in a brass section to your home or work, and dig out those tight leather pants. Maybe we should all throw NY Eve parties that resemble a Chicago concert! Party!
