Anyone taking extra precaution on that day? Or celebrating? Or dressing in their space suit to take off with aliens?
The 21st falls on a Friday, the weekend before Christmas, so that day will be busy with travelers. I plan to come home from work and watch t.v., see all the funny propaganda on t.v., maybe take a look at the sky, and eat pasta with garlic bread and a yuengling to celebrate to non-end of the world and guess what the new date will become.
There is a 'preparedness group' (for lack of a better label) throwing a big party that night. I bet it will be awesome, but I have a superstitious streak so I'll be skipping the party and staying home with my dogs. If the world really ends, I want to be with them not a bunch of drunk preppers
I'll be at home recovering from my dental appointment on the 20th. After 7 teeth being pulled and new dentures I should have some pain medicine in case things get too bad.
If nothing happens, well, I'll have a reason to flash my new smile.
I'll be living my life like any other NORMAL day....
The only thing I'm concerned with on 12/21 is all the nut jobs predicting the end of the world.....
I agree, Hopefully at least most people will keep their common sense esp in the few days before and not loot stores, commit other crimes and go wild in the streets. If they do they will be facing a new reality possibly in a jail cell kicking themselves.
I was on Youtube last night just checking out movie trailers and ran across the thousands of videos detailing the arrival of nibiru, Alien invasion and various other catastrophes in addition to videos promoting good predictions like enlightenment, Spiritual ascension and related. The latter is more along the Mayan predictions as they were hopeful of a religious miracle for the human race. Frankly, I feel it will be another day here on Earth like all the others-With one good benefit:
It will be the end of all the hype about it. Until another date is established.
I will not be in large populous areas if I can avoid it just because I believe the severally mentally ill/homeless will act up. And I will laugh at all the people that wasted money on an ancient prediction because Dec 22 will come and we will go on.
Even if you buy into the Mayan prediction, they themselves state that no cataclysmic event will happen on that date. What it's supposed to be is the day a "new age" is ushered in. Yes, they have predicted some bad things for the future. But the bad things, supposedly, will happen over a number of years following 12-21-12. Not ON 12-21-12. So, for you believers, you can breath now. No need to slit your own throat on the 20th.
If anything horrible happens on 12-21 it will be because of human stupidity... which of course, I guess we can't rule out.
Working I hope... And if there is no work playing around with a 22 rifle I just bought. It's a little used seeing that it was made in around 1960 to 1968... That's ok I shot it today too.
