Maybe instead of letting the Commiefornians leave, or throwing them out. Maybe we should TAKE IT BACK! I mean after all they have our two main deep water ports on the Pacific. And Yosemite.

I say send a tank division in to straighten them out. Throw the subversives in prison, hang the legislature, send the mayors to the firing squads, throw the illegals out and put the rest of the population into reeducation camps for a couple of years where they can listen to Trump speeches until their eyes glaze over into a catatonic haze.

Then the refugees who have fled to Free America can reclaim their homes and we won't have any more of this foolishness.

I just realized, if them leaving sets every future election in republican favor, you would see a mass exodus of liberals to Californa, turning many of our swing states into republican strongholds, not to mention the fact many CA conserveratives would migrate here (a good deal would be allowing free citizenship transfer between the two nations for 2-3 years, to allow the proud americans to stay american).

I bet you that millions of democrats would leave for cali, and millions of cali republicans would move east if they did.

My guess is that if CA did manage to secede, it wouldn't be the last state. The country would break up further in response to one party rule as states like MN, NY, NJ, DE, MD, maybe VA and probably all of New England would split off. Maybe some others too.

Maine is the only New England state i dont see as gladly breaking off (for district 2). However i feel maine would leave if the rest of new england does to avoid an Alaska like scenario were it is isolated from the rest of its like minded areas (i assume maine would politically be with alot of the upper midwest due to my research of the areas politics and national voting patterns).

There is no “States right” to secede from a perpetual union. (Articles of Confederation, 1777)

A state can not leave unilaterally (without approval). The civil war never dealt with what happens if other states approve it. CA is going with the assumption that if their voters approve it, then they will push it as an amendmend (requiring that 2/3s of the states agree to it). And as i stated earlier most republican states would be going against their self interest if they were vote to keep Cali in. Just like Cali would be dump to try and keep texas.

As well the AOC was built further on by the consitution and supreme court, and Texas vs White ruled that states do have a right, but the other states (that would be remaining) must agree.

I wouldn't be in favor of it even if it COULD be done. But it can't. CA conservatives aren't loud but there's a lot of them. More likely that the State break up, but it won't do that either because once people look at the details they will realize that everyone being liberal only lasts until you take another step to the left.

This is already going on now.

We may not have to wait for California to secede. It may wash away this weekend.

Got my oceanfront land in AZ already picked out!

Rather than CA voting to leave the union, the rest of us should vote to throw them out. Start a petition to make them leave. Wonder how many supporters that would get...
