Why is the liberal state of Oregon in red (over 19% on food stamps ) ?

They join West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and New Mexico.

They don't rank that high for poverty rate. Maybe it's easier to get them there.

Surprised the liberal state of Washington has the same percentage of people on food stamps as my poor state of Arkansas.

yet Washington state only had 104 people fraudulently claiming welfare food stamps while the Great State of Arkansas had over 8,025. Seem Arkansas raises a whole bunch of Criminal Welfare Cheats while Washington state obey the laws. In FY 2015 Arkansas paid out $3,732,348 in fraudulent food stamps while Washington had under $250,000. I don't know about you, but waving the american flag while peeing on it is not something a state should be proud of. Maybe we should build the wall around Arkansas to keep those welfare criminals away from law abiding honest Americans.

Now, there is no constitutional ability for any State to succeed from the United States of America, so this is more fantasy talk than reality.

I haven't read this entire thread - but where did you get that number for Washington? Who supplied it? Who did they investigate? Seems very suspicious to me and I'd like to know the methodology behind these stats...

They only used data of American Citizens only. If they included illegals and refugees, the percentage would shoot through the roof.

What happens when taxpayers, wealth, and businesses flees Cali? It would end up like Venezuela.

You know, if we simply stopped doling out benefits to illegals and refugees, we wouldn't need to deport the former, or prevent the latter from coming here.

The problem would take care of itself. No incentive left.

Liberal states don't go after welfare cheaters like conservative states do.

It's like a state saying they have very few speeders and then you find out their hwy patrol is very lax.

Surely the illegals and refugees are counted in the benefits...? If they are absent from the denominator, then the real percentage is even lower.

And why on earth do you think money and businesses would flee? Their financial situation would be better not worse if they were a separate country. Plus, then they could have their own currency and play games like the federal government!

Cali is too expensive, taxes are too high and there are too many regulations. Why do think companies flee to states like Texas?
