OK, you can "own" the business, but they will tell you who to hire and how to run it,
and redistribute as much of the profits as they can. They license every aspect of it.
If left to their own devices, they would, de-facto, own it.

Maybe. Remington's been on life support for several years for a variety of reasons, mostly product/quality control related.

They are. Just come to California. Diane Feistein, Nancy Pelosi, and a host of other members of their party have flat-out called for a total ban of all firearms.
I once saw a movie, based on a true story, where only the military and police had firearms. The name of the movie is "Schindler's List". If you haven't seen it, it is an eye-opener.
As I pointed out a few days ago, their violent crime rate has been skyrocketing, ever since they passed laws saying their subjects couldn't carry any kind of weapon, and self defense was declared not to be an automatic defense for use of a weapon. In the last few years, they have even outlawed knives.
Ironic, since guns and knives are the weapon of choice in many London crimes, whereas in the US, despite having more guns and knives, they are used in crimes less frequently. (Ironic, but not surprising, since, as we have often pointed out, more guns means less crime.)
