Blizzards? no

droughts? definately not.

Hurricanes? no, we get the tail end of them sometimes as they have lost all of their energy.

ice storms? sometimes rarely.

Riots? no never.

Earthquakes? no

Power outtage? yes commonly. Often a couple times each month for an hour or so each time. Every couple years we will have an outage that lasts a couple days.

Flood? yes we have had those.

Depends on what you consider a disaster.

You can't prep very much for a tornado, other than having a shelter.

However, minor disasters can abound - deer or loose cattle in a garden destroying a year's worth of food in a night, thieves, equipment failures, etc.. Those individual disasters are more likely than than media designated disasters that get massive coverage on the news.

We're in the Willamette Valley (Oregon)... I think flooding is probably our biggest concern. And as far as I know, there's not much you can do to prepare for a flood aside from knowing your quickest route to the nearest, highest, driest ground - which we do. We also know of a few alternate routes in case our way is blocked.

One day last year we had an earthquake, a tsunami alert, a new lava flow and a hurricane alert. Sheesh! Hard to figure out which way to go with all that going on.

Generally we just worry about earthquakes, lava flows, tsunami, hurricanes, barge strikes (95% of everything comes in by barge), swine flu and a lack of tourists which we seem to be incurring now. The lack of tourists is the one which has the most widespread effects and affects the most people because of the lowered economy.

We get the occasional flood but they never last long since cinder soil drains really well.

Nothing really here. Slight chance of a major earthquake that would level all those masonary buildings on fill land in the city.
I think more of a national-wide, long-lasting thing- fianancial meltdown, asteroid strike, mega-volcano. The things that happen very rarely but will be the end of life as we know it.
Of course, it's always good to have some preparation for a blizzard or power outage from ice (Northeast) but that's not a big deal.

I'm in Chicagoland. I guess it would be a blizzard or ice storm.

Blizzards and ice storms with power outages. I keep plenty of food on hand plus oil lamps for light. I heat with propane and can cook on a Coleman stove if necessary.

#1)Earthquakes- We are suppose to have the 'Big One' within our life times. That will be a clusterfu*k when that happens.

#2)Volcanic Eruption- Mt St Helens anyone? Mt Rainier is suppose to be the next to go. Thankfully, I don't live in a former Volacano flood plain.

#3)Windstorms/Snow storms- We don't get too many of these, especially the snow, but man, when it snows, the city shuts down..and when we had the windstorm a few years back, it killed 12 people and knocked out power for more than a week.
