Well, it could have been reference to the 'earthquake' that comes the day after a bowl of good chili...

The name chili comes from Chile though (or Chile comes from chili (as in the peppers), depending on who you ask).

I will try to be someplace with a view, a bottle of whisky and a beautiful woman. I expect to watch the show, have a drink and some satisfaction.

Well, Jesus did say that as end time approached, we would have earthquakes and wars and rumors of war, but again, He also said that no one knew the hour. So when anyone throws a specific date out there, I think you can 't pretty much rely on the fact that it WON'T happen that day!

I suppose you can try to prepare for this, but think about it...if a major disaster like they are predicting occurs, do you really think that the supplies you gathered will still be there when the wave hits or homes are destroyed? where would you put the supplies so you can retrieve it?

Even if we were to survive, I doubt many will be able to prepare and if they did, the above scenario comes to mind.

We don't know what (if anything) will happen in 2012.
Many teachings talk about "the end of the world as we know it". To me, the key words that are missed by many are as we know it.
I think there will be no Armageddon, but a change in the way we live/sustain ourselves.
Whether the change will be caused by a natural phenomenon or a man-made disaster, I completely agree with those who say that one should be prepared.

IndigoLight-That is exactly what I think!!! That it will be the end of a cycle and the beginning of something totally different. Not sure exactly what that means, or what will precipitate the change, but no matter what happens it is never unwise to be prepared.
