I've used them quite a few times over the years and I got EXACTLY what I paid for- always getting 70%-80% off...I never pay full price.

But how do you go about EXCHANGING unused certificates? I've exchanged 3 so far....but it seems it's kind of difficult using the exchange process.

I had 3- $25 certificates. So they gave me 3- $25 certificates 'links' in emails, 1 each.

So if I click on the link and it brings me to another site, showing $25 credit. But the zipcode I need only has $15 certificates....

how do I use the last $10?

And one of the certs I used $20...but there is $5 remaining credit.

How do I ever get to use the $5? I've never seen a $5 certificate.

Do I just lose out?

The certificates I have used through them
all say:

"No cash back upon redemption or at any other time."

and

"The issuing of restaurant credit is at the sole discretion of the merchant..."

I always use mine in full on the visit.

Pitt Chick, thanks for your reply. Mine say that as well; however, there have been a few instances I buy a certificate - after verifying their location, times open, etc.
Yet when I go - they are closed for renovation, or some other reason.
I've never tried to use one and couldn't.

So the website does allow you to 'exchange' them. Not asking for cash back. Not asking for restaurant credit.... it's 'restaurant.com' that will exchange unused ones.

This is where I'm confused and would like to know if anyone else has had my issue- gone to a restaurant and it be closed- and the website gives you a credit...how do you 'use' the credit?

Restaurant.com — The Ideal Meal

I'm thinking a phone call to them is your best bet.
