I have used the online printable coupons in the past before, but last night I tried to use on and I knew there was going to be a problem when the cashier kept loooking at it. She told me it was'nt any good. It was for Arm and Hammer cat liter. The coupon was from Smart Source. She said that company was illegitimate.
I have heard there are some sites that are illegitimate, but I thought Smart Source was a name that was reliable. Was this cashier right? Thanks for all info. I kept the coupons. I know if I take them to another store, a nother cashier will just scan it and not think a thing about it.

All I know is that none of the store in my area take online coupons. Not a one.

Was the cashier right? Only her manager knows for sure....
You should have asked him/her.

I use SmartSource printable coupons all the time at my local Walmart. Every store has it's own policy about internet coupons, and some have their policies online. I would check out your store's policies, and if the cashier was wrong, I would contact the manager and remind him/her about their policy and that their cashiers aren't following it.

Just saw a new sign in my favorite grocery assuring that they will accpet online coupons (up to $5) which is a hint that some do not.

I think too many people were either misusing the coupons or changing face value by photo-shopping. I think the best bet for great coupons is to get the Sunday paper or whatever day your local coupons come out. The newspaper subscription is cheaper than printing them.

Store generally DO take coupons that come directly from the site of manufacturers since they can check them out as being legit.
