What kind of water do you use in your steam mop? (best, purchase)

Looking to purchase either a Haan FS20, FS30 or Haan SI35, but have heard it is best to use distilled water. Is this necessary and if so, what do you use?

I use tap but add a little white vinegar. Please read your manual before adding anything else to the water though.

Will do, but can't yet as I haven't purchased it.

So vinegar is "ok" to add directly to the water tank? How much do you add?

I have two steamers........one full size canister and a steam mop. I use vinegar in both. I don't measure but I would say about 1/4 cup.
