Anyone own a Dyson vacuum? Is it worth the hype..and the price?

My boyfriend shelled out for the Dyson Animal because my cat had fleas at the time. He likes it, but I don't. Okay, I like that it is bagless, but it's complicated for me to use, heavy to push and very loud.

Does anyone have the Dyson "Digital Slim"? We might pick one up for the tile floors when we don't want to get the big Dyson out and run a cord through different outlets.
