I just received an email stating Redbox is to acquire all Blockbuster express Kiosks.

I really enjoyed Blockbuster since they offered so many coupons and feel the website was easier to work with.

WOW

Did better with the red box app on the iphone than the Blockbuster app.

The Blockbuster brick and mortar stores were getting fewer and fewer in my neck of the woods. Used to have a Blockbuster kiosk at the one Sheetz near me but when they remodeled, someone took it out. Hasn't been replaced as far as I know. Found another in the opposite direction. The only other one (kiosk) I'm familiar with is about 25-35 minutes drive. Blockbuster kiosks seemed to have a bigger and newer selection of movies to watch when I compared them to Red Box kiosks.

Funny, how redbox calls themselves that as most of the kiosks around me now are painted blue. Did someone grab the wrong paint can? Maybe they should be called blue box instead. That would make sense somewhat if it were Block buster acquiring Red Box but since it's the other way around I didn't see an email this morning when I had my cell phone but maybe by the time I check it on my way home tonight, I'll get it. Thanks for the info Stantheman.

I liked the BB kiosks too. There's one in my local Publix. My B & M BB is having a "final store closing" sale as we speak.

My Barnes & Noble is gone as well. All of the "good" stores.
