We are considering purchasing a Rainbow vacuum. I have used it and think it is great, but I am wondering how long they last. Any input is appreciated.

I've had mine since 97. They are a bit of a pain, IMO. They take up a lot of storage space, and every time you want to vac, you've got to fill w/water and put together. Then when you're done, you have to disassemble, dump water, clean and dry the water basin.
Other than that, I love that they work well, reach under beds and dressers, etc..but, it's nice to have an upright available for quick cleanups.

My brother used to sell them. I loved the way they cleaned, but hated that you had to store to two pieces separately and that it didn't maneuver like an upright. I guess if I had a very large closet to store it in, I'd be more likely to buy one.
