Default Flight discounts?

Hey how's it going? I wanted to know does anyone have any discount codes for flights or know where I can possibly get a discount on a flight for me and my wife. I'm trying to do a round trip flight from Atlanta to Dallas and the tickets for now are kinda high. I would greatly appreciate it.

As was posted before when you asked this question in the travel forum, there are no "discount codes" for flights. Prices are what they are. You can look on sites like Orbitz or Kayak to compare but there's no way to get lower prices. Never mind the fact that you are flying out of a Delta hub and into an AA hub, so chances are the prices on either airline will be rather high.

There is always Greyhound.

Thanks, but no Greyhound for me. Looks like my car and the road 12hrs.

The only discounts are the type you have to pay for in one form or another.

An airline branded credit card (one free checked bag)
Entertainment books (usually have 10 or 20 off a flight)

Or be a smart shopper. Southwest and JetBlue do not charge for checked bags. That savings adds up.

It's not so much looking for "discounts" but being a smart shopper and not traveling on peak days/times.

Edited to add...Oh and don't be afraid to fly out one airline and fly home another. My last trip took me on US Airways to my destination and Southwest home as each offered the cheapest fare on the days I was traveling.
