That's why I use bamboo...cool in the summer, warm in the winter and softer than cotton could ever dream of being. Better for the ecology as well. Liz

I treated myself to 800 Count Egyption cotton, $89 @Amazon. They are quite nice. Are the bamboo anything like that? I am always in Bed, Bath & Beyond and cannot recall seeing them, but I must say you have us all curious. :-)

That's where I got mine. Don;t know where they are being carried now.
I have felt the 1000 count sheets and the bamboo and the bamboo wins hands down. Liz

Bamboo doesn't require the same kind of irrigation or pesticides as bamboo. Bamboo is pretty pest resistant. Bamboo also contains a natural anti-microbal agent that makes the sheets more resistant to bacteria buildup than cotton. Also, because of the makeup of the fiber, bamboo sheets require less dye. They don't fade as quickly, either.
I was a high-thread-count cotton guy myself, but bamboo sheets are it. The way to go. They're my new favorite gift for my family in steamy South Carolina.

Yeah. All 3 pandas there are. I'll feed them my sheets as soon as they start mating to save their species.
All kidding aside, try the bamboo sheets and you won't go back. The fact that they're more environmentally friendly will be a bonus.
