  • Pots and Pans: All-Clad. I love mine. Expensive, but worth it.
  • Knives: Wustoff. Truly wonderful knives.
  • iPod: Love my new 8GB Nano. I can store close to 50hrs of music on the little beast. I have an older 30GB one as well, but hardly use it anymore.
  • Digital Camera: For small/pocketable, I like the Canon Digital Elphs. The SD850is is really nice. For SLRs, the Nikon D40/D40X provides a great bang-for-the-buck - especially the D40.
  • Blinds: I love the plantation shutters we have in the house. Classic and elegant all at once.

Default Good stuff

I *love* Cuisinart stainless pots and pans.
I only buy textiles from JCPenney.
According to Consumer Reports, Behr is the best paint. Get it at Home Depot.
I got the best blinds they had at Lowe's and love them.
Panasonic digital cameras are the most reliable, according to Consumer Reports.
As for knives and music players, a subscription to ConsumerReports.org - Find Product Reviews and Ratings from Consumer Reports is the best investment you could make.
Find what you want locally at Yokel - Shopping directory of local stores and products

Cookware - All Clad. They're an investment, but they are wonderful. It's professional grade stuff and once you try it, you'll wish you had bought them year ago.
Towels - no particular brand
Bed Sheets - Anything over 300+ threadcount, 100% cotton, sateen and made with Egyptian cotton
Knives - Wusthof Trident - wonderful quality and will last forever
Paint - Benjamin Moore.
Digital Camera - We have a Nikon SLR - not small but SLR's are fabulous
Blinds - I don't have any. I'm in a curtain phase. When I did have them, they were custom and cost me a small fortune. I prefer curtains now.
iPod - don't have one but am getting one for Xmas.
