I need a new gasket for my Bodum storage container. The old one stinks like really stale, rancid coffee, and I want to use the container for something else now.

Why don't you email Bodum? They have a "spareparts" webpage, but I don't see anything that looks like the gasket you are looking for.

Good luck.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that. I have an email in to them.

Soak it with some baking soda for a while, then stuff it down in a silverware holder for a run through the dishwasher and it should come clean.

I've had it in baking soda for a couple days. Scrubbed it in hot water, then vinegar. Then put it back in baking soda. Don't have a dish washer. It still smells, but not quite as bad.

I never got a reply from Bodum customer support.

Shame on Bodum customer support. Their products are not cheap.

I finally got a reply, and they don't sell those gaskets.

So they're mailing me one FOR FREE.
